How it works
Points = floor(1000 × (base ÷ time)³). Uses official 2026 individual-event bases with their stated validity periods. Target times round down to a hundredth to reach at least the requested points. SCY scores use converted SCM/LCM times and are unofficial estimates; reverse SCY targets use SCM. No age adjustment.
Choose time or points as the input
Use time-to-points to score a recorded swim, or points-to-time to find a target for a chosen score. Select the category, course, stroke and event before entering the value. Each combination selects a base time, so a score cannot be interpreted without knowing which event and table were used.
How the score is calculated
The calculation is 1,000 multiplied by the cube of base time divided by swim time, rounded down to a whole point. As a purely arithmetic example, a base time of 60 seconds and swim time of 75 seconds gives 512 points. These example numbers do not identify an official event record or base-table entry.
Check the table and course
The results show the base time and its validity period. Keep those details when comparing scores from different sessions, because changing the table can change the score for the same swim. Yards results use estimated metre-course conversions rather than a separate SCY base table. Target times are rounded down to a hundredth of a second; treat the displayed time as a target to meet or beat.
